Fly in fishing on remote BC lakes to stay away from the crowd

Western Canada Outdoor Experience specializes in planning, outfitting, guided and unguided trips for outdoor enthusiasts in Northern B.C. In Cooperation with Alpine Lakes Air we can fly out groups or single persons every day in the season to remote pristine lakes and camps far away from the civilization.

All you have do to is come to Smithers, which is the getaway to Northern BC. Here we will welcome you at the airport and bring you to our main Office. Here we will give you an 2 hour educational course on wilderness education and hand you all the gear you need for your trip. In the evening you will have time to visit Smithers, our little Alpine Village. The first night you will stay overnight in a nice B&B in civilization, before your journey starts the next morning in the wilderness.

We have a wide variety of lakes we fly to and two options for overnight staying in the wilderness. On five different lakes we have solid wilderness outdoor cabins and on the other 10 lakes we operate with outfitter wilderness tents. We supply you with all the equipment you need such as Stoves, Dishes, Sleeping bags and mattresses, Propane lights, Cooler, Boats or Canoes, Life Jackets, First aid kit, Area maps etc.

Those tours can be done from June to September. The minimum stay is 3 days. Radio phones for safety reasons can be rented locally. Fishing gear and Belly boats can also be rent in the main Office.

We also offer a seven day trip to three different lakes. On each location you will stay for two days before the plane comes and bring you to the next lake. On this trip you will cover a big area, you will see lots of scenery, experience the flying adventure of a floatplane, and you will stay on three different remote and pristine lakes.

Day 1: scenic flight from Tyhee to Atna Lake or Nanika Lake, setting up camp, exploring, campfire
Day 2: camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing
Day 3: flight from Atna/Nanika to a lake of your choice- Blanket, See, Coles, Haven, Solohogenž..
Day 4: several activities, depending on the location: hiking, fishing, lake canoeing, swimming
Day 5: flight from previous location to Burnie Lake, setting up camp, exploring the untamed wildernessž.
Day 6: hike to Sandpiper Lake or to one of several spectacular mountain peaks or glaciers
Day 7: late afternoon flight back to Tyhee Lake ( this flight includes a very popular Glacier tour).

DAILY FLY OUTS
